The three-day International Kick-off Workshop held in the Philippine Carabao Centre in the Science City of Muñoz, Philippines on 12-14 July 2016, marked the beginning of the fifth phase of the Project which focused on six (6) partnerships between German municipalities and municipalities from Nepal, the Philippines and Viet Nam. The main objectives of the workshop were as follows: (a) to improve the understanding of the participating municipalities on municipal climate partnerships and its processes; (b) to build camaraderie among partner municipalities; and (c) to enable partners to start the work on their joint programmes of action on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
